Michael Benigno

CREATIVE STRATEGIST

Michael Benigno is a seasoned creative strategist with two decades of experience leading high-performing marketing teams and guiding mission-driven institutions through moments of growth, change, and opportunity. With a foundation in journalism and advanced degrees from St. Joseph’s University and Columbia University, Michael brings a storyteller’s insight and a strategist’s discipline to every engagement.

He began his career shaping alumni outreach and communications at Xavier High School (2005–2013), and went on to lead communications for the USA Northeast Province of the Society of Jesus, helping to articulate the voice of the Jesuits across ministries and audiences. From 2018 to 2022, he directed global enrollment marketing at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business, where he launched the school’s Responsible Business Center and helped secure the largest philanthropic gift in Fordham’s history as part of its centennial capital campaign.

Michael partners with schools, nonprofits, and values-based organizations to elevate their messaging, grow engagement, and align communications with mission and impact. He is also an accomplished photographer and lives by the ocean in Rockaway Beach, New York, with his wife and their two children.
