Mary Kate Blaine

CHIEF OF STAFF

Mary Kate Blaine has led and served in educational and nonprofit spaces as an executive, chief of staff, and educator for over two decades. Over the last twelve years, she served as head of school at Trinity Hall in Monmouth County, NJ, principal at Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School in Washington, DC, and chief of staff to the superintendent of Catholic schools for the Archdiocese of New York. Mary Kate began her career in education as a social studies teacher at Notre Dame School of Manhattan, where she later served as social studies department chair and director of curriculum development. She also facilitates workshops for teachers from all over the US to advance effective teaching of American history through the Gilder Lehrman Institute.

Mary Kate is an executive coach certified by the International Coaching Federation and the Board for Credentialing in Education. She loves volunteering as a leadership coach with Braven, an organization committed to helping first-generation college students secure their first strong job following graduation. Mary Kate has also blended her passion for coaching with service as a mentor for DC high school students with Spark the Journey and supporting transitioning veterans as a coach with Hope for the Warriors.

Mary Kate holds two graduate degrees from Columbia Teachers College: an EdM in school leadership, an MA in history & education, and a BA in American Studies from Fordham University.
