Maria Moodie

FUNDRAISING STRATEGIST

Maria brings twenty years of experience in education and nonprofits, specializing in fund development. After college, she spent two years as a full-time volunteer at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Chicago, where she was transformed by the mission and its powerful impact. After, she joined Immaculate Conception Academy in San Francisco, and years later served as the Feasibility Study Coordinator and Founding Development Director at Cristo Rey San Diego High School.

Beyond the Cristo Rey Network, Maria led marketing and communications at New Door Ventures, a faith-based workforce development nonprofit supporting youth through job training and paid internships. She also served as Director of Development at Environmental Health Coalition, advancing environmental justice for communities on both sides of the San Diego border.

Maria lives in San Diego with her husband, son, and dog. She holds a BA in Spanish from John Carroll University and a Master’s in Library and Information Science from Wayne State University.
