Katie Pizzone

FUNDRAISING STRATEGIST

Katie is a healthcare and education philanthropy leader with special expertise in principal and major gifts, venture philanthropy, and coaching. In addition to her work at DMD, Katie is the Senior Director of Philanthropy at the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation (ADDF).

Katie has over 17 years of experience in fund development in healthcare and education. Prior to the ADDF, she spent six years raising principal and major gifts at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York City. In that role, she advanced critical campaigns for capital projects, research related to musculoskeletal disease, and access to pediatric care for underserved populations.

Prior to her time in healthcare, Katie served in leadership roles at Student Sponsor Partners in NYC, St. Mary's School in Lynn, MA, and Sacred Heart School in the South Bronx. In all her roles, she has served as a fundraising coach and advisor to physicians, scientists, volunteers, principals, boards, and educators.

Katie received her Masters in Nonprofit Administration (MNA) from the University of Notre Dame and her BA from the College of the Holy Cross. She is a proud Buffalo native (Go Bills!) and currently resides in Hoboken, NJ with her husband and two kids.
