Eileen Carty
FUNDRAISING STRATEGIST
Eileen brings more than two decades of experience in independent and Catholic education to her role as a Fundraising Strategist at DMD Consulting. A graduate of Fordham University, she began her career in service through the Marist Volunteer Program, teaching second grade at a charter school in Lawrence, MA. She later worked in event planning at The Ireland Funds in New York City while earning her M.A. in History from Hunter College, an experience that strengthened her understanding of mission-driven development and institutional advancement.
Eileen’s full-time career in education began at Aquinas High School in the Bronx, NY, followed by twelve years at Xavier High School in New York City. At Xavier, she served as a history teacher, department chairperson, and building leader, gaining deep experience in curriculum development, faculty leadership, and school operations. After relocating to Flourtown, PA, she spent ten years at Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School, where she served as a classroom teacher, Dean of Student Affairs, and ultimately Principal. As Principal, she developed and implemented a comprehensive academic strategic plan featuring thirteen active initiatives focused on strengthening academic rigor, attracting and retaining top talent, and promoting student and faculty wellness.
Eileen now draws upon her extensive leadership experience to support Catholic schools in achieving their strategic and fundraising goals. She currently serves as an educational consultant with the Penn Literacy Network and is completing a coaching certification through the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education.
Eileen resides in Flourtown, Pennsylvania, with her husband and three children.
