Drawing on her strong foundation in business development, research, strategic marketing, and relationship-building, Aerin knows how to align organizational needs with funder priorities. She approaches grant writing at DMD with a honed ability to persuade a target audience with clear and strategic communication.

Born and raised in Malaysia and educated in Australia, Aerin holds a master's in international business and a bachelor’s in advertising and communications from the Queensland University of Technology. She began her career at a tech start-up where she managed marketing and communications. Later she spearheaded its strategic partnerships division to expand market growth in 10 countries. Her ability to secure deals across international markets led IBM to recruit her as a market development specialist. Aerin's strategic mindset and ability to articulate value across sectors make her an asset in securing funding for organizations that seek to make an impact.

Aerin presently lives in New York and is dedicated to nurturing her two young boys with an empathic understanding of child development. She is also an outdoor enthusiast with a passion for baking.
